ARTIST STATEMENT

I believe in the human potential to move and be moved, to see and be seen, to feel and be felt. I believe dance creates time and space for us to explore our human desire to connect with one another. My creative process questions how our movements, thoughts, and overall beings relate to others around us. I enjoy playing with subtle and repetitive movements to reflect the routine in our daily lives and to ground us in simplicity. Rooted in an investigation of intimacy and vulnerability, my work explores the dynamic relationship between the performer and the audience. My goal as an artist is to create work that lingers and impacts the way people feel, think, and move.
